White is More than Boring – Interior Design Trends
Whites, blacks and neutrals. These are the colours that get lost in a background as a support tone in most interiors. Is it possible to add life to these background colours and turn them into a feature by themselves? Well, fashion brand Bershka at the Deira City Centre in Dubai did just that!
Using white as a backdrop to highlight their merchandise, Bershka converted this support tone as a feature by creating a self-design with the materials used. Wavy metal sheets with slotted uprights add a design element to the backdrop that works well with their display pattern.
Apart from being aesthetically pleasing, this design feature breaks the norm that white need not be a boring colour and can flaunt a life of its own (along with style) if creatively handled.
